Notifications

Every email the platform sends, what triggers it, and who receives it.

Every email the platform sends, what triggers it and who receives it. The list is deliberately short: a product that emails on every state change is a product people filter into a folder they never open.

#Who it comes from

Until an agency has verified a sending domain, notifications go out from the platform's address. Afterwards they come from yours, and the recipient has no reason to learn this platform exists. Every message is styled with your logo and your primary colour either way. See Sending from your own domain.

#Contracts

Most of the platform's mail is here, because a signature is a thing that has to reach a person.

#Work in progress

MessageSent whenTo
Waiting for your approval Daily digest. Batched, listing what is waiting and for how long. Each person with content sitting on them, on either side
Site down / recovered A monitor crosses the threshold — two consecutive failures, or two successes The agency
SEO alert digest New alerts are raised by the daily sweep The agency
Approvals get one email a day, not one per transition This is the only notification in the entire content workflow. The unbatched signal is the dashboard, which lists anything sitting with a client for more than five days.

#Account lifecycle

MessageSent whenTo
Client deletion reminder Seven days before a scheduled deletion becomes irreversible The agency
Test message Send test email on the sending-domain page Yourself, using real From-address resolution

The deletion reminder is sent by a job kept deliberately separate from the deletion itself, so a bounced reminder cannot stop a deletion and a failed deletion cannot suppress a warning.

#Platform operators only

A daily attention digest goes to platform staff, summarising what the platform overview would show: unset prices, failed jobs, expiring trials and past-due agencies. Agencies never receive it.

#What the platform deliberately does not email

  • Password resets. There is no reset flow. Email is the second factor, and a reset link to the same mailbox would collapse two factors into one. See Signing in.
  • A message per ticket comment. The request queue and the dashboard are the signal.
  • A message per content transition. The daily digest covers it.
  • Anything to a client about work you have not shown them. Hidden modules stay hidden, including in mail.

#If mail is not arriving

  1. Check the spam folder — especially before a sending domain is verified.
  2. Check the domain's status on Settings → Email domain. A record that was tidied away fails verification and falls back to the platform address.
  3. Send a test to your own address and read the sender line on what arrives.
  4. For a signing link specifically, use Resend on the contract — and remember it invalidates the previous link, so the recipient must use the newest email.
